Shattered A small crack Invades my life What I now lack Has slipped away I had it all A shoulder to cry on If I were to fall, Someone to catch me But my personal flaw He saw right through me I watched in awe As he passed me by Knocked me off my high horse It's all too plain to see Once my life was on course Now the crack has evolved Shattered my happy smiles Set us apart By so many miles Never again together So shall I say goodbye Or is it, til we meet again We part with silent cries And hopes and dreams for tomorrow. |

well, beautifully written, Alicia.. a sorrowful poem, but know, if it was to be, it will be.. and, sometimes appearances are decieving, and can give the illusion that they were meant to be.. I am sorry it didn't work out.. but you wrote a beautiful poem here... Lynne |
