Deep within the bluebell wood
Shaded from the midday sun
All the world we see is good
Here dreams from realities… run

We’re undisturbed and free from noise
We only hear the babbling brook
And now thought with our memory toys
With beauty now our breath is took

The scene around just overwhelms
The sweet scent on the breeze is born
We’re carried now to heady realms
And sorrow from our mind is torn

Through the trees the dappled light
Descending now in flicking ray
Words are dancing in my sight
As dewdrops melt my fears away

The crystal stream with thanks reflects
The birdsong back up to the clouds
The pulse of life my heart detects
And silvery webs the snowdrops crowds

The scene is reeling through my heart
This peaceful and adoring place
This wonder to you I now…. impart
As through it with my muse I race

Thanx This is a place of my childhood.

Held in my minds eye,it doesn't seem the same today.

Beautiful Jon
Whilst reading I was there...idyllic.
Childhood places I revisited after many years were surprisingly so very much smaller than I remembered.

This is fabulous with its natural imagery, a world away from it all, yet so reachable. Thanks for sharing it here with us.
