Learning
becomes great
with great experts
selflessly offering me great
advice!

this is an informal cinquain--it is a 5-line poem, with the first line having one word, the 2nd two words, the 3rd three words, the 4th four words and the last line one word...
so here's the challenge:write me one informal cinquain
looking 4ward to ur posts ")

From whence cometh cinquain Kaile.

Rings once
Rings then twice
Then it rings thrice

This is great..

MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK

THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS
AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN,
MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND

thanks. Sometimes I don't know about that invincible thing! But I'm getting older and wiser as each day goes by.  I might have to change my name or something.  I'll be 15 soon.

Ooooh Thank you for the compliment Kaile.
May I suggest you say "Hello" just once...not nearly so likely to get annoyed....LOL.
As I asked where did "cinquain " originate?

Hey, thanx Kaile

so THAT'S what a cinquain is. ^_^ thanx.. ok.. I'll give it a go..

informal cinquain take 1

Think
Swirling thoughts
A dozen ropes
knotted in my mind
confusion

Nah, don't like it.. hehe.. k, here is a better one.. I hope..
informal cinquain take 2

Clouds
Let fall
tears for today
Weep gently, oh sky,
Rain

well.. hehe.. anyway. ^_^

thanks for this challenge... now I know what a cinquain is.. hey, what is a formal cinquain, if this is INFORMAL?

Ok, kaile, here goes.

Me
plus you
equals we two
our hearts, bound together
forever.

What do you think?

thank you,Yu Lan and Joannak.very commendable attempts, both of you ")

yes,Yu Lan,i do agree your 2nd attempt is better than your first....anyway,here's my respond to your cinquains....

Train
Chugging Away
Rocket blasting upwards
Like my million thoughts
Galloping

Sagging
Plants rise,
Their mouths wide
Savouring sweet rain drops
Life-saver

your second attempt appeals to me...it has a childlike quality attached to it...like a child staring in awe at the falling rain, appreciating its beauty....

to Joannak,just a short,simple,sweet delightful love poem...enjoyed it immensely ")

String
Links hearts
Together,tightly secured
Cherishing it for all
Eternity...

now, that was a lacklustre attempt...never been good at love poetry...i hope you won't mind ")

sorry, twinsgd,i have no idea as to its origin either

Warmed

Of passion's fire
Telling me your heart.
