****************************************************

Squirrel helps himself
To the treats atop the pole
My new BIRD feeder?

****************************************************

Trees sway with the wind
Waiting, watching open sky
For a kite to eat!

****************************************************

Kitty creeps up slow
Calculating when to Pounce
Stalks its' own shadow!

****************************************************

I hope you have enjoyed this series of Haiku, I must for now take a Haiku Haitus to concentrate on other projects! LOL Dennis :^)

These are great, Dennis!! They are all very clever, I love the way you add a twist to the end of them!

Dennis,  These are great. I can visualize these being written at the moment when these things occurred, especially the last one.

*chuckles*  These are truly delightful..

MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU,
MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK
MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE
THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS
AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN,
MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND

I sure can relate to those squirrels.  I sometimes think they think they are birds the way the devour all the seed. lol.  Liked these a lot though.

On the last one I couldn't help picturing my cat doing the same.  He is so silly!
