Despair

A life of lies
A fearful hope
As all hope dies
Who can cope?

Life without truth
A race without a run
Who will soothe
Pains when all is done?

Fitfull rages
Living hell
Turning the pages
Who will tell?

No dawn in our days
And fear in our hearts
A passing phase?
As life throws it's darts

I will survive
And I can cope
I'm still alive
And there IS hope

Very nicely done, Alicia.

But I don't think this is about despair at all. The last four lines tell me that this is a poem about life and hope.

I love this, the despair we all feel at times but with such a positive ending so full of hope...it gives me hope!!
