Tingles of power,
Sparkles of peace,
Droplets of joy;
   Independence of self-
Is it really this sweet??

Shedding skin, blood and tears,
   Leaves me feeling complete.
Movin' on, packin' up;
   Discovering myself in
Boxes and bags of
   Let go and keep.

......and I smile.

For I see a complex woman.
A spiritual, intelligent, loving being.

Years of collecting tiny pieces of
Near and dear
Is starting to equal the
Collection of me.

Wonderful poem. Rummaging through old memories can stir up a lot of pieces. Be careful of what you let go, though.

I can't say it is lovely, 'coz everyone else has already said it, but, I would... LOL

I know exactly what you mean, I am terrible with keeping things that link me with my past. This is a beautiful poem that I can really relate to!

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

PS I challenge you to write another happy poem...I love em!

I can relate to this poem, I also save everything, but there always does come those days one needs to decide and that's tough cause all things mean something. This poem was a great expression of that and you did a beautiful job with it, I second the challenge for another happy poem.
