Here I sit, unloved unwanted
praying for the day
that love shines on my door
I ponder why I can not find it
not smart enough
not handsome enough
not charming enough
not outgoing enough
I watch love from afar
and see its beauty so
on the faces of friends and lovers
I wonder, what does love feel like
and why does it elude me so
I feel this emptiness, this void deep within
I know what can fill it
but I cannot have it
because I am not worthy to have it
I pray that I will find love one day
So I can end the pain of emptiness inside
the pain of being alone

To find love is to know true happiness... to lose love is to lose everything

awwwww you are worthy of love, the right person just hasn't come along yet, never give up hope   very nicely written poem

 Mystical being
which makes ink flow
Surround me in
your incandescent glow
Fill my brain with
thoughts and rhyme
As I try to capture
but a moment in time

Every dog has it's day,
Yours will come I hope and pray,
I know 'til then that you will cope,
Just never, ever give up hope.

Good poem Shadow and a question asked by many. I'm a romantic and do believe that there is someone for everyone.  Hang in there, your someone is out there and you will find one another.

Loney Shadow,

First, the technical. I like your poem.  I think it is well written. Good job.

Second, to the content.  You are not finding love because you are SITTING ON YOUR BUTT.  Love is not going to fall into your lap...GO OUT AND PERSUE IT. Otherwise, you are fishing without a hook.

My humble opinion.

I guess we all feel that way sometimes....even if we have found love (we thought)!

 God bless you all. :-)

Lonely Shadow....I agree with Inclan.  Go out and find it.  You just may be surprised at what is out there.  Nice poem.  I think we have all been there at least once in our lives.
