The chosen day of Conflict,
Had arrived that o'ercast morn,
Both sides ready for battle,
At a field where once was corn.

The McNasties laded with weapons,
With Vile Goblins by their sides,
Advanced with fevered purpose,
From the South, came with great strides!

The Faeries marched along with the Trolls,
From the North they did arrive,
Prepared to defend their Honor,
A Must if they survive!

Both flanks proceeded forward,
Toward the center of the field,
Filled with firm resolve,
Not to the Enemy would yield!

Both sides stopped equidistant,
Paralled, ten yards apart,
With looks so violent thrust,
Knowing soon the Carnage would start!

It seemed like an Eternity,
Each second that passed by,
None knowing which would live,
And which was doomed to die!

Just then a Flash of Light,
A brilliant Flurry hiss't,
When their eyesight did recover,
Saw an Angel in their midst!

Between the sworn Rivals,
This Radiant Child did stand,
Mesmerizing everyone,
Every weapon left each hand!

The Child spoke in soothing tones,
Each word that She did say,
And the Rainbow that enveloped Her,
Sparkled each eye that day!

"Peace unto you one and all,
All violence will now cease,
I bring you the Gift of Love,
To Faeries, Man and Beast."

"This Love doth Kindness bring,
Tolerance for one another,
You'll treat ALL the same,
As a Sister or a Brother."

The gathered throng did melt,
Into a single Congregation,
Each others good was sought,
Without resistance or hesitation!

The lesson learned that day,
By all that gathered there,
We CAN change this violent World,
If we take the time to CARE!

What a wonderful poem to end the conflict. Super stuff

Dennis--This is a charming ending to the McNastie saga, and a wonderful message above and beyond that.

I tried to put McNastie to bed, but he keeps popping up, LOL (McNasite the Florist, McNice transformations?). Thank you all for your kind words and interactions with this topic.
I pass the McNastie torch to anyone who want to pick it up, LOL Dennis :^)
