Sitting in your car, the radio loud
No one to talk to, not making a sound.
Thoughts rolling slowly through your head
At what point did you wish to be dead?
You turned your car over, started it slow
Rolled down your window, and let it all go.
Did you think of the people you were leaving behind?
Or did thoughts of us even cross your mind?
The garage doors where closed, windows all shut
You refused to fight and just gave up.
Now you're gone and I'm filled with sadness
For all the things that are now behind us.
If you had called, I would have been there
So what was so bad that you couldn't share?
There was no note to guide us, or to say goodbye
Just your body, and now we stand by your grave site
I know not who to blame or where to go to cry
Your shoulder was always a safe spot to run and hide
The month of March comes every year
It's always been filled with laughter and cheer.
Now April showers will come a month to late
For all the rain will fall around this day.

Hello to all those who read this... It's definitely not one of my best, but you'll have to forgive that.  Josh, my best friend and adopted brother, just died on March 21.  It's hard.  Thanks for being understanding.

This is a good poem, very sad and painful.  I personally know about this kind of tragedy and I know what is left to the survivors.....I'm so sorry about Josh.

Welcome to Passions. This is an excellent poem expressing all the emotions provoked with the sudden loss of a loved one in such a tragic way. The normal grief is compounded with feelings of guilt, confusion and anger. You have my deepest sympathies. Please check you email for a special welcome.

Denise

My deepest sympathy for your loss. Welcome to the pub. A moving and sad poem.

BWA,  I'm very sorry for your loss. Life and the poems that reflect life are often full of sorrow. Your poem is also, but still beautiful. You expressed yourself very well. Welcome to the pub.
All the best,

~Gene

I know how you feel.  In the past four years, I have lost 6 very close friends.  It gets better, never forget that.  I love your style, and I hope to see more of you here in the Pub!

 Hope,

Your poem yet sad was still very beautiful, I pray that the pain soon leaves you as the happy memories you shared with him remain.

May the light of day always shine during the darkest of nights.

Many people here have experienced similar tragedy, take advantage of your ability to write and the feedback it will generate.
So very sorry for your loss Angel.

To all of you that responded... Thankyou very much.  I'm not sure of what else to say, but that your support has helped.  And thankyou for all the warm welcomes.

I awake to a world I don't want. There is no transition for me. I am in heaven. I am in hell.
