More Favourite Things

The smell of a baby after it's bath,
The feel of its newly formed skin,
The sound of that babies very first laugh,
Makes me feel good deep within.

Bright stars in a black sky whilst holding a hand,
The sun as I lie on warm golden sand,
Thunder and lightning whilst lying in bed,
Knowing I'm loved though nothing is said.

The sight of pure silk on a good female form,
To feel that same silk so cool yet so warm,
Ice cold beer when the weather is hot,
A pint of Guinness whenever it's not.

The laughter of friends after telling a joke,
Fixing a toy when a child thinks it's broke,
Any good music from classic to pop,
Watching a toddler attempting to hop.

I love a good poem especially a rhyme,
Also a good book a thriller or crime,
Most of my favourites are everyday things,
The best is your friendship and the pleasure it brings.

May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out.

Irish proverb.

I like the masculine point of view on the simple things in life. We all have so much to be thankful for.

Great Cat!  Your favorite things leave me feeling all warm and fuzzy.  My all time favorite is the smell of a baby - after a bath or before!!

JTC--Aaahhhh........Catman, you've done it again!  Yet another very enjoyable poem; the "simple" things in life are the best!  Thanks for another great read.
