Rag Doll

I was a rag doll to her as a child
when all in life taken away slow
I was the one she came to know.
I saw her cry all her oceans dry
for only rainbows would she die,
she grew up and became a teen
and was a most beautiful scene.
Now I would cry as she dressed
in clothes that were royally blest,
she drown them with her essence
but her life still held many lessons.
I'd watch her dream of her future
when still a teen needing nurture,
she held the heart of a gallant lord
who's passion she could not afford.
Her plate innocently full of desires
to a point of inextinguishable fires
wherein a child lies an adult walks
so to others they permiss in talks.
One day a crown she will bequest
and will be granted she's the best,
the prince she chooses will be tall
I know this for I am her old rag doll.

An unusual viewpoint. I like it.

Very Moving.  I have teenage daughters and, although not a ragdoll, I can see a lot of where you are at.

This is interesting indeed.  Sounds a bit sad.

Esmeralda, What a sad/sweet tale you've woven here of a child/girl/woman transition.
Your insights are from a new perspective and thought provoking. Thanks for the great read!

You all are quite kind and I thank you for your compliments, I am amazed at the different thoughts this brought to your minds, it's really quite interesting. This has nothing at all to do with me or anyone I know, this is being told from the rag doll Esmeralda Ponsonby point of view as I read a very interesting novel, I loved her name so much that I had to use it as an alias. I thank you all again for your compliments.
