A Reply from the Fish (U-Gene) What’s it like to be a boy? Oh little boy upon the bank What’s it like in your big tank? Do you wish you could swim around? Like me down here on watery ground Little boy who stares at me Would you like to live in the sea? Spend all day just eating bugs Wipe your fins on sand not rugs Little boy what’s it like To ride around on your mountain bike? Fall right over and graze your knee Not blow bubbles just like me What’s it like to comb your hair? Tell some stories you can share What’s it like to eat ice cream? Close your eyes and always dream I think our worlds are much alike I’ve got my fins you your bike You see our story never ends So lets remain the best of friends Jon Mewett |
