Strength of Heart

I met her by accident
This woman I love

Her poetic words
so inspired me
Taking me to heights
I thought impossible

Then for the first time
I heard her sweet voice
A phone call in the night
began our journey

As we came to know
one another so well
Her strength and courage
captured my heart

She knows the dark paths
that I have tread
She walked them too

And when she returned
she possessed a spirit
not of selfishness and anger
but of love and peace

I so admire her
for the struggles she survived
With unfailing grace
and dignity intact

Her uplifting spirit
such a godsend to many
is a treasure beyond price

And I strive everyday
to be what she is
A survivor

So wondrous she seems to be,
The subject of your poetry
So fortunate your loving friend
To be the object of your pen
So knowing is one who survives
She changes everybody's lives
For those who sands of life have seived
Are the those we know have truly lived
Wonderful poem

Jonas, wonderfully written. How lucky she is to be thought of so highly.

Great work

A very beautiful tribute your love and respect shines through

 Mystical being
which makes ink flow
Surround me in
your incandescent glow
Fill my brain with
thoughts and rhyme
As I try to capture
but a moment in time
