Vision

I glide through your door like a thief in the night,
No need for alarm, no need to take flight,
I'm here just to watch an incredible sight,
A vision asleep in her bed.

I creep to your bedside and stare at your face,
My temperature rises, my pulse starts to race,
Your lips with my fingers gently I trace,
My vision asleep in her bed.

Leaning over I feel your breath on my cheek,
The sound of your breathing so mild and so meek,
I suddenly stiffen as the bed it doth creak
under my vision asleep in her bed.

I smile as I watch your lovely lips part,
I feel my blood flow, the pump of my heart,
My lips they join yours a kiss to impart,
To my Princess asleep on her bed.

May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out.

Irish proverb.

Cat
I love this one.
Great flow,great rhymes.

You have read my mind I was writing a similar poem in a similar setting,I'm not sure the subject matter is the same.

Watch out for it I would like to hear your reaction to it.

Meantime, GREAT

Childomine, Denise, Lizzie & Twins.....Thank you

Tom & Gene...There was only one meaning as I wrote it. Anyone who knows me will know it.

Jon...Thanks, I'll look for it as I do for all your postings.
