I want to thank Munda for her contribution of the sonnet "To Lancelot."

To Lancelot--

My Knight thou art my love, my life, my sin.
Thy love's a guiding light, the brightest star.
Ethereal thy touch, like Angel's wing,
Thy fiery glance, embracement from afar.
This heart is thine forever and a day.
Thou holds upon thy hand my fragile soul.
My being trembles with delight each day
For thee, my kindred spirit, passion sole.
Oh Lancelot, thou sets my heart afire,
But what, I ask, mine heart bereft of thee?
A cold and lonely dungeon; chained my fire!
As Neptune who cannot return to sea,
I yearn to drink thy cup of Love divine,
And pray the day to come thou steals what's thine.

____

To Guinevere--

Although, my heart has many things to say,
I must show thee with all my love, sincere,
Then I could die with all my dreams this day.
For thou art, Guinevere, to me so dear.
I need thy love in order to be free.
In you, my love, my sweet, I now confide.
For, might nei find another one like thee,
Forever if I tried, until I died.
But time flies by, and here we are apart.
So, now my Lady, come forth unto me,
And let my love become one with thine heart.
For, even with this love which cannot be,
I would defy the King and all his men
For just one kiss from you, my Lady Guin.

____

[Narrative]

Two hearts; between devotion and akin
For King and honor, and a nations love,
They’d dare to take a chance at mortal sin.
Perchance, a dream to taste forbidden love,
He would defy a King with all his might,
And she’d refuse a Kingdom and her reign,
To stand beside her Love and shining Knight.
In love and mortal fear, they doth remain;
One man, one woman; in defiance, bold.
From land of myth, this Kingdom, Camelot,
A tale of love and woe hath been retold,
Of time and place since long been and forgot,
About a Knight and of his Lady dear,
‘bout Lancelot and his sweet Guinevere.

____

Thanks,

~ Munda (Lady Guinevere) and Gene (Lancelot) ~

These sonnets are truely inspired, and inspiring! How wonderfully love flows from these works, a symphony of images, sights and sounds woven into a beautiful tapestry of Love and Passion! WELL DONE MUNDA AND GENE!

You've done it, and done it well.. Writing in "Old English" is difficult enough - but add to that the fact it's not Munda's native language, and we have quite a feat here.  Lancelot is quite the romantic as well.. These poems complement each other beautifully... Nice work, my friends..

Thanks Everyone,

You're very kind. I appreciate your nice comments very much.

Munda, helped me in the last few days to understand the rules to writing sonnets, so we thought it would be nice to do something together. We also felt this would be a good way to let everyone know who Lance and Guin really are, in case you couldn't guess.

I hope Munda can get here soon to reply to y'all. She's having trouble with her connection.

Thanks,

~Gene

Gene & Munda,

Shakeasperian sonnets have always been such a great read for me and you are superbly comparable to the master.  BEAUTIFUL.

Again, I just want thank everyone. So many of you replied, that I really don't know what to say. I never expected this kind of response. I thought I was just being cute and romantic.
And Munda made that very easy for me. I enjoy working together with her.
