Drifting out to sea
waves gently rocking me
singing to me their lullabye
beneath a dazzling starry sky

salt in my wounds- begin to heal
unlearning the past begining to feel
opening my heart learning to trust
the moon shining encouragement- saying I must

off in the distance a wave reaches shore
burying in the ocean depths sins mine no more
floating on soft waves of serenity
the day begins to dawn recreating me

a light breeze caresses my skin
I feel the tingling of life again
overhead a sea gull crys
as me and the past say long over due goodbyes

Oh, I think you cleansed my soul with this one also, how beautiful you went through the cleansing and no greater place to for it to come from then the great ocean that man can't touch and destroy as easily as fertile land. I love this one it will dance in my soul for for months to come.

Starr,

This is beautiful and very inspiring.  Gave me a real good feeling while reading it.  The imagery is excellent.

Starr this is really awesome.

"salt in my wounds-begin to heal
unlearning the past beginning to feel."

The wounds of our past must be allowed to heal so that me may once again feel and trust.  Really, really like this one.

Wow, Starrgazer, I think this is definitely my favourite poem that I've read here.

You sound like you've made quite a personal journey and I congratulate you.

I can certainly relate to this, especially the second stanza.

Great, great poem, and if you don't mind I think I'll print this one to add to my personal collection.

Wow StarrGazer, This is really good. The imagery is very clever. The sea cleansing the soul and healing the spirit.
