Man and the Common Cold

Cold, cold, freezing cold,
Feeling very, very old,
I think I've caught the common cold.

My eyes are tired,
my throat is rasping,
clammy hands
tissues clasping.

Nose is dripping,
cough is ripping,
head is spinning,
feels like tripping.

Feel so bad,
What will I do?
God, please,
don't let this turn to Flu.

Jon, this is great, we have all been there, never read a poem about it though. Good punch line.

John, this brought a smile to my face.  Not the situation but your poem about it.  Very good.

Thank you all for your kind words.
Fortunately I don't feel like that, but I remember it well

John,

I can surely relate to this! Last year,I had Pneumonia for 6 months. I was so miserable, but with Meds. and the help of the Good Lord,I survived, and been very lucky this year, with only stuffy nose and minor Cough!

Good Poem,I enjoy to very much!

John,

How well you describe the misery of the cold symptoms.  This sure was a cute one and I enjoyed it.
