Often my thoughts wander off to a world
Where dreams and wishes secretly unfurl
My deepest desires, or inner screams
Where mem’ries precious are no longer dreams

Deep inside my soul I hide my true fears
Loving and laughter, can’t let them come near

When life’s too harsh to deal with at times
That’s when I hide in this place out of time
My soul so fragile and scared to be hurt
That’s when there’s no vision and life’s a blur

I miss out on friends, I miss out on life
But I am willing to put up a fight
For life’s too precious not to be lived
I hold in my hand a God’s given gift

I’m blessed with some friends, very dear to me
Came out of my shell, with them I am free
There’s no need to hide, with them I am safe
Once more life feels like a warm cozy place

Loving and laughter must let them come near
No longer hide in this dream atmosphere
Where deepest desires and inner screams
Are merely memories and only dreams

Very nice Munda, I enjoyed the positive note in your words, sounds like you have it all together, with just a small bit of hesitation now and then, but it's ok to be cautious, good poem  bill

Munda this is a very good poem.  Many of us have been hurt so often and so deeply that it's hard to trust in others.  This causes us to miss out on so much.  It's great to have friends that can teach you to trust again.  Very nice poem.

A star shinning bright twenty four hours a day
sweetly illuminating every heart beating hour
laughter and rhythmic songs dance me away
within her living dreams kissed with friendship

Sweetly illuminating every heart beating hour
I dance in her sunshine and sleep in her stars
graced by her silliness and caressed by love
a truthful friend I have found to cherish forever

Laughter and rhythmic songs dance me away
to a universe where her kind spirit's sparkling
star dust upon the Internet ground I tread on
making every keystroke a memory of honor

Within her living dreams kissed with friendship
lies a beautiful soul full of flowing abundant life
she's like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow
a star shinning bright twenty four hours a day

Bill - thank you. Glad you enjoyed. And you're right...still cautious.

Dennis - Thank you I thought you may like that.  (((((HUGS)))))

childomine - Yes we often get hurt, but I'm healing   And yes I am learning to trust again. Thanks for reading and your kind reply.

Denise - Thank you

Gloria, Gloria, what can I say. I tried to think of a proper reply, but every time I read your poem, tears fill my eyes. Thank you for your beautiful words. You honour me greatly.
((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) I love you too.

Munda,

This poem is absolutely beautiful.

-----
Here's another wonderful poem I received today from a wonderful friend, who doesn't even know she wrote this poem:

It's a beautiful Spring day
and I really would like to go outside
to hear the birds sing and see the trees sprout.
Maybe tomorrow. I see no seagulls today.
I love watching a single seagull soar on the winds.
I always pretend I'm there with it. [Sigh....]
I guess I'm in a funny mood today.
It feels as if there's music and poetry in everything today.   ~M.

Starrgazer - Thank you very much

Gene - I AM in a funny mood today. LOL Never thought of that as a poem. Let's see if I can do a little better than that.     ((((((((((HUGS))))))))))

It's a beautiful Spring day
I hear the birds sing
And watch them seek twigs
To build their nest
Their twitter sounds
Like a lullaby
The trees start to sprout
Their buds fresh green
The colour of Spring
The wind caresses
The branches and
Daffodils bloom
Leaving a smile
upon my face
With their bright
Yellow leaves
Whispering a promise
Of summer

Avanti - Thank you and (((((HUGS))))) to you too. Glad you enjoyed.

rich-pa - Thank you   It's a good place to hide now and then, but not too often. I forget sometimes there's a world out there. A beautiful world for those who wish to see.
