Night is fast approaching almost time to settle down suddenly there is a scream a scream that was just for me I crept up to the window fear ripping through me scared to see what's down below A man I once knew stood waiting for me to come to him. But what I saw before me was frightening a glint of light I could see A knife in his hand, a anger look he has come after me. the history behind us was that we were once close but I chose to end it things just were not meant to be That horrific night he stood and yelled wanted to just talk, but I know he would rather see me in hell He stood swaying back and forth the large butcher knife I could see I knew if I went down to meet him for surely death was upon me I was alone in the house everyone had gone for the night I stood and shivered at the window praying he would leave hoping I was beyond his reach He stood there screaming for me to come how long will he torment me it seems like hours had gone by me watching, breathlessly He nevered approached the door but stood under the lamp post making sure I could see him and the knife, he held so close Time stood still for me slowly, I stood and stare watched, and trembled wondering if he will get me the fear inside, I felt I'm going to die tonight alone and in fear, no one near Then suddenly silence I watched him turned to leave he looked up one last time the saddness I felf for him I had never meant to hurt him But it was something that had to be He never came back after me That night, he was in pain The drugs he took, to help him to deal with all the suffering he has gain. Years have gone by now And I think back to that night The horror I felt inside the pain that he had to fight We were both very young emotions ran very high I was sorry I had hurt him but I had to get on with my life. Very scary. Breaking off a good decision though huh!!! Hope you are NOT accepting any responsibility for any of this..." I had never meant to hurt him...."....you were NOT responsible for his actions. |
