Joy said today, that she can't wait for Spring to arrive. I've got good news for her--it arrived at exactly 12:35pm today (3/19)

"Spring Haiku"

In like a lion
and out like a lamb, they say
spring is in the air

Warm, bright, sunny day
Spring has finally arrived
birds sing, flowers bloom

Soft appearing day
caresses my face with light
then the robins sing

Sudden spring shower
hurry, before we get wet
it’s too late, we're soaked

Thanks Gene!  These were great.  It may be spring on the calender, but if that is true why oh why is there snow here?     Oh, well at least it is melting!

Thanks everyone, but guess what?  Joy's right. It's sill winter even though it's spring.

Yesterday (first day of spring), it was beautiful here. Today, it's snowing and the forcast is for blizard conditions and 20 inches!

Uncertain season
caught between winter and spring,
snow falls, birds still sing.

Gene,

I think your Haiku poetry is superb!  Each one I have read is great.  Keep 'em coming.
