Toss a coin and we will see,
What it is you mean to me,
Should we, shouldn't we? It never fails,
Now let me consider, heads or tails?

Friend or lover? I can't decide,
This coin is my only guide.
Throw it high and watch it fall,
Will the result matter any at all?

Make me remember what I've been through,
Remind me of tears that I've shed for you.
Do I want to feel this pain again?
Will somebody please get this through to my brain!

My heart is in conflict - remembers your touch,
Oh God, how can this man affect me so much?!
I need a third option, this I must find,
To comfort my heart and settle my mind.

A promise from you that this friendship will stay,
You'll tell me your thoughts and you wont run away.
Is it too much to ask, could you do this for me?

If only our poems could all be like that.

I find that the best writing comes from a moment of inspiration. I sometimes spend days on one little poem and others just seem to flow out in a minute or two.

Keep it flowing, Julie. I'm anxious to read more.

I must admot Gene, these days I only seem to write poetry when there's nobody around to talk to. It's like I need to get the questions/feelings out somehow, and then they just flow!
