From every phase of life
there is a lesson to be learned.
We grow through each experience
and receive what we have earned.

There are times of happiness and joy
and times of sorrow and pain.
There are times when we lose
and times when we gain.

We try to choose with wisdom
and pick our paths with care.
We hope the decisions we make
are honest and fair.

There are times when we wonder
what life is all about.
There are times when we're down
and begin to doubt.

We make many mistakes
and try to see where we went wrong.
We use our experiences
to help us grow strong.

As we travel life's roads
we learn the true meaning of wealth.
It's not something of dollar value,
it's love, happiness and good health.

...the earth and myself are of one mind. The measure of the land and the measure of our bodies are the same........... Joseph, Nez Perce Chief

Thank you Jenni, Munda, Amy & Denise for your comments.  I'm never sure about anything I write and all of you always make me feel glad that I've put my thoughts on paper.  Thanks again.

Sas, you speak poetic words of wisdom in this lovely work...
an inspirational manifesto..
take care, jm

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch
You never knew what I loved in you
I don't know what you loved in me
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be

Sheila--you have managed to fit much of the wisdom of life in a very small space.  I enjoyed reading this.

"Unto thine own self be true, and it must follow as the night, the day; thou cans't not be false to any man."---Shakespeare

Ah, the journey, you illustrate it so well by your word woven tapestry. Very Good!
