not true

i'm amazed at my parents acting ability
or perhaps they too were as numb as i
when the news came

the world falls down twice
and then you learn that it never existed to begin with
except when you
are crushed by love and tears and desperation
all at once
you don't know if you should run
or be that magnet
suck it all away
and 'keep it with mine'

so you suddenly feel something
and if it isn't real
then ...
then you have nothing to add because
you still hurt
even though he doesn't
anymore

and you don't understand the word
'anymore'
if everything that is temporal
never was to begin with

all this playing with time
playing with words
won't change a thing

The poem is very sad and disheartening.  I to question - why?

Yeah, it is downcast a little...but unfortunately, not all of life can be as upbeat as dragons like me wish it could be...

You Have captured the Flood of response that hits you in this situation.

Really the response you want is no response, not to accept the truth.

Sometimes after time has passed this experience can be very spiritualy uplifting.

Hopefully that wasn't too much of a downer. The period I wrote that in was rather grim. My uncle fought cancer for 2 years. In that time my grandmother died slowly from kidney failure and my friend was killed ina  car accident.  By the time my uncle passed away, a year later, I was really searching for a way to cope. I pratice Buddhism and all of it's ideas on life being an illusion were suppose to be comforting.. but they just made my feelings more confusing.  That is what the poem is trying to work out.
