Light mist sparkles in morning dew
As trees and shrubs swayed and bent,
In the forest with skies of blue--
This is where the singer was sent.

She emerged from the vessel that carried her there,
Walked in the leaves with a gentle care
That implied the strength she had inside
Was not of force, but loving pride.

She walked to a place, a quiet clearing,
Far out of other humans' hearing
And sang her own melodic tune,
Echoing of lives in bloom.

She sang a song that stirred the heart,
Told of a place, a land apart,
A world in our sight, much like ours,
And so closer than the heavenly stars.

Animals came out to see
How this human seemed so free,
Sang of a place, a state of mind
That was difficult yet so easy to find.

"Truth, is a simple place
Here, for us all to see...
Reach, as it comes to you, as it comes to me,
As I will always need you inside my heart...

Peace, is a word we teach
A place, for us all to reach...
Sing, as it sings to you, as it sings to me,
As I will always need you,
Inside my...
Heart."

Thank you ! This is truly beautiful and your talent at such a young age is Incredible. This did not scare me away, not at all! It makes me feel that this is a new home for me. I have enjoyed wandering through and reading many of the poems in the Forum and gaining a sense of understanding about the people behind the writing. What a wonderful group of poets and people!
Your writing at your age is breathtaking!

This is beautiful, Sam.

I don't know how you keep coming up with this stuff so quick--and it keeps getting better. Save something for when you're old like me.
