SECOND TIME AROUND Sitting on an old roan and feeling kinda mean, The old cowboy looked out over the brush and such. Cows were grazing, hard and fast, still they were lean. The sun was high, his saddle hot to the touch. Hell, he said out loud, thinking of cold beer, and town, Tonight I'll be eating beans, and sleeping on the ground. Listining to my horse fart, trying to keep my cooking down, But things should be better next time around. Next time around he thought, I'll probably be rich, The Lord will surely give an old cowboy a break. But what if I come back as a coyote bitch? He put that out of his mind and thought of beer and steak. That night as he hobbled his horse, he thought how he hated the sight of a cow, Cow chips made his fire, beans and jerky his meal. This life may beat some things, but he couldn't think of how, He just knew that next time he'd get a better deal. He went to sleep with that on his mind real strong, And dreamed that night , of his second time around. Suddenly he awoke, and something was wrong, He had four legs, and there was a man on the ground. It was dark, cold, and the sound of snoring filled the air, Lord he was hungry and cold, but that wasn't the worst part, He was standing there, with four legs, covered with hair, And he was so tired, it was all he could do, to lift his tail and fart. |

This is hilarious Bill! I hope that was your intention. You had me in a serious mode when you suddenly flipped and there I was in the middle of a good laugh. I absolutely adore the things you write about and the way you do it! Keep up the good work! |
