I've been reading all over this Passionate place
I've run out of Kleenex
and now have a red face.
The stories I'm reading are incredibly sad
I'm weeping and wailing and I'm getting mad.

Are we sure being loved is worth all of this pain.
Could it be an error
to fall once again.
You girls tear my heart with your tales of love lost
Before falling again please consider the cost.

I am an old buzzard and I've been around
these many long years
and my judgement is sound
So if you meet a man that you think is worthwhile
I'll pass him with colors or throw him on the pile

This service is free I'll be most pleased to help
I'm married forty years
I am no young whelp
If you find the right guy I'll suggest him you keep
You'll save the heartache and I'll no more weep.

Wonderful hidden treasure
I love it when I read a poem that hits my heart or causes me to pause and think, feel, etc......... so the point within this poem of reading others and feeling for the writer, etc. really hit home!

Well, yeah, there's a lot of sadness around here...but I'm trying to be a little bit of light! You write pretty well!

I thank you all for the kind words, I was worried about posting this , I was afraid some might think I was making light of their sorrow. Well ,this weekend past I foolishly lost my best friend and have now joined the ranks of the sorrowful.
Denise and Childomine......40 years is easy with a better "better half " such as mine.
KimW....I am now getting a really inside look at those other's feelings.
Munda.....You are absolutely right there is much of joy expressed in Passions and nobody does it better than
Little Spyro T Dragon.....Thank you Dragon for your wonderful welcomes
Freckles......for you I wish nothing less than all that your heart desires and I thank you so very much.
