It's been 7 years since you passed
When you died, I was again classed
You were the only one that loved me
You were the only one that cared you see
As the years passed, my brothers and I grew farther apart
My uncle cares, but it still hurts my heart
Sometimes it seems they want the best for me
But other times they don't care about the air I breathe
My father is out of my life forever I think
If he stays away, I won't raise a stink
Roger is doing better with Pancho
I'm kinda glad it's him and not me though
Tony and I talk when I go to lunch with my friends
But you were the only one with the love without end
Danny is cool, but I only met him once
And Maxine acted like a dunce
Why am I the out-cast of my family?
Please help me out, My Dear Grandpa Jean
Misty Lane 5/3/99
Made with love for My grandpa R.I.P.

This is a wonderful tribute to your grandfather, Misty. I'm sorry for your pain. I hope you find unconditional love like his again.

I wrote this when I was 16 when my dad came back into my ife for yet another brief moment. When I was younger he used to come over just to get my mom to have sex with him but she wouldnt. He used to promise to bring my brothers over for me to meet but he never did. I finally met my brothers at my grandpa's funeral. We had just moved back to Montana from Arkansas when I found out he had a stroke and was in the hospital. He was the only one that ever took the time for me. I met my 2 older brothers at his funeral and I got along with the one that is just above me in age. Well we went to gradeschool together and he teased me. Finally when I got into a car accident did he really want anything to do with me and yet it turned out to be just a joke again. So I think that my grandpa needed some one to tribute him in some way cause his family wouldnt. I didnt ever get the property or n e thing he supposedly left me in his will either but i was thankful to know the one that actually loved me in that family.
Thank you Denise for reading this and replying.

Mystykyl-  This is a beautiful tribute to your grandfather and a sad testament to those around you.  Don't let those around you determine your self-worth.  I'm going to go out on a limb here (religion is a touchy subject) but - Christ must have seen us as having a lot of worth, afterall, He died for us.
