Six O'Clock Hour

An intriging moment, tender and sweet,
when we two long distance friends will meet.
Images on the computer surely do no justice
to the real actions, smiles and giggles for us.

Can my absolute feelings be conveyed and shown,
Over the internet?  Do you understand my tone?
Anticipating this Friday, at the six o'clock hour,
Showing my previous loves scars, will I cower?

My intentions are only to have fun and enjoy,
Keeping a little suspense, maybe even coy!
For we shall guard a part of our precious hearts,
Lost loves we have both had, more damage, not smart.

The day is drawing near, only three away,
Oh, we will also have a picnic on Saturday!
Do I seem nervous, does it really show?
So shaky, I'm not sure I'll even go.

But what a disapointment we would feel,
If I were a "no show" at that meal.
So I'll pack my bags, get ready for the trip,
Point the car north, and let 'er rip!

Dum de do do..."My pile shakes as I hit eighty on the open road..." lol
Great poem, Beverly! Wish I was there to meet you in person!   Maybe even write a poem for you...or two...or three!
Would there be enough food for me?

this is great Bev, how cool...your gonna meet your on-line friend...that is fantastic!! good luck, write us a poem to tell us how it goes!!
take care, jm

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch
You never knew what I loved in you
I don't know what you loved in me
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be...

*I miss you baby...
I love you...always.
