Flying... Doesn't it feel so good Just to do it once in a while? All the time, I wish I could... 'cause it always brings a smile!  Well, this particular day I flew pretty close to the coast, Set down on the beach, then walked away To a place not spotted by most. Stretches of sand, secluded and calm, Shells from the sea and swaying palms, This is the place where I stopped to rest. Out of all that I'd been, this was one of the best! The water's warm, pristine and blue, The sky a brilliant cerulean hue, Gently waves slowly lap at your feet As you stretch out on sand in the soothing heat. Well, after that, I went for a walk Along the beach, beside the rock. Before too long, I stopped and found An old wooden box shoved into the ground. It wasn't too much of a sight to see, Rotted and aging, looked beat-up to me! It was easy to open the box with my claws-- They come in more handy than most humans' saws! Inside I found a big surprise-- Something so priceless, it opened my eyes-- A treasure so large, but not of gold, And it was too heavy for me to hold! Shocked and amazed, I walked away, Decided to come back another day When I was ready for the gift I had seen. So I left the place, still and serene. If you're curious as to what the gift was, I can't really tell you--that's because The gift is a person (and her replies). That's what was the big surprise! Thank you Janet Marie for giving me more credit than I deserve, I really really appreciate it!!!  You're a great poet too! Little Spyro T. Dragon |

  WOW...SAMMY...I am sitting here smiling like the cheshire cat...THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL SWEET POEM.!!
