heaven is what i felt that day
when i stared into her eyes
as we sat upon a mountain top
reaching for the skies

we sat under the golden sun
looking back upon our past
and wondered what we both did right
for star crossed love to last

the beauty of the sunset
seemed to set the sky on fire
but it was not perfection
like the one that i admire

walking hand in hand along the shore
to her house around the bend
i prayed upon the brightest star
that, that night would never end

i awoke happy in the morning
to the sun's gentle shine
for i finally found the love
that i wanted for all time...
