~Accolades Of Poets~

Words describe the emotions,
inspiration grants them rhyme.
Poets offer prose...
shared wisdom of all time.

Blessed with the gift of expression,
changing emotions into lyric and verse.
Searching deep inside their souls-
hearing voices, those moments when angels converse.

Like symphonies of heartstrings...
turning words into the beauty of song.
Like an artist painting images,
their vision of life's reasons ... teach us to be strong.

Their words touch and heal, allowing us to dream,
we embrace and applaud them, grateful for their grace.
We honor and award them for many years to come,
Poets of words and wisdom-held classic-in their rightful place.

Janet Marie

WOW!
I see why this piece won! It's INCREDIBLE!!
Amazing job you did here, Janet! Wow...!

Uh, how do you enter a poetry contest, anyway? Do you think I have a chance at winning one?

P.S. Yeah, "and dragons" hehe
By the way, the closest thing the Chinese have to a real dragon is the Chinese alligator--there are less than 150 of them left!! They're hanging over the great abyss of extinction...sigh...I'd be losing a whole family of relatives!!   I really hope they'll make it okay...

Janet, I'm glad you shared this one again,I wasn't around the first time to read it.  You've put into words what I struggle to teach others about.  Marvelous!  Good work!  Plus, food money is always good!!!

Congradulations! I can see why it won, this was my first reading of it, and as I was reading it I was thinking this is a real keeper, this should be in a book somewhere, and low and behold, you say you won a contest with it. That is really great. I am happy for you!
