you simply take my breath away
you fuel my passion's fire
i see upon the eve of dawn
it's you that i desire

in my heart with high regards
you inspire love's delights
my love for you will never end
like dark on moonless nights

inspiration shining through the clouds
like the sun's golden beams
the strength of love i feel for you
is beyond my wildest dreams

your smile gives me happiness
your voice stirs memories of the past
and deep within your searching heart
you hold my wishes cast

but i live each day in light of hope
that you'll take my point of view
that someday, somehow, you'll return
the love i feel for you

ahhhhh...they just keep getting better and better...

"in my heart with high regards
you inspire love's delights
my love for you will never end
like dark on moonless nights

inspiration shining through the clouds
like the sun's golden beams
the strength of love i feel for you
is beyond my wildest dreams"...

perfect poetry... beautiful...

Now for me some words come easy...
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch.
You never knew what I loved in you--
I don't know what you loved in me...
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be...
How long have I been sleeping-
How long have I been drifting alone through the night...
How long have I've dreaming I could make it right...
If I closed my eyes and tried with all my might
To be the one you need...

Lovely poem! I like this very much...it's got a lilt to it..like a song..that's probably why it's called a lullaby!

I don`t know about you but I find it incredibly hard to write a rhyming love poem that doesn`t sound completely phony and cheesy, but you managed to accomplish just that; and quite nicely might I add. My favourite aspect is the beautiful choice of words.
"I live each day in light of hope"
or  "You fuel my passion's fire"
             Great stuff, really.
