this is the third in the wildflower series
____________________________________________________
Field of wildflowers beneath my feet,
sing softly in the summer heat.

Sway slowly in the gentle breeze,
speak sweetly ere my heart to ease.

Your colors glow in golden light,
your scent invades the darkest night.

Your fragile petals bring such bliss,
their velvet freshness I long to kiss.

To lie with you, in nature’s bed,
that softest down for weary head.

This last I beg with humble plea,
forever pledge your love to me.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Wonderful images on this lovely Spring day!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Pegasus -
So glad to see this - I knew you left for a while...I've been away too.
Your fields of wildflowers are so softly defined....with such a tender touch.
A sweet breath of nature at her best!

It has been a while since you posted your other Wildflower poems. It's nice to see this one.   Your inspiration should be proud of this sweet and tender tribute.
