Some people are are afraid
Of caves, because they're dark
I have seen them stay
At the mouth and not embark...
Well, I am the adventurous type
And almost anywhere I'll go
I don't bother listening to all the hype
About the things I don't know.

So I start walking into the cave
Amid the stalagmites and rock
There was little to fear, I was brave
Until the walls began to talk...

"Who goes there?" I cried out
And no response I got--
"Anyone there?" again I did shout
Again, no answer, so on I walked...

I came to a cavern full of light
Which could not possibly be--
Holding signs that stood out from the night
And they were all welcoming me...?

They said they needed the help of one
Who was small, purple and short--
And had within him the fire of the sun
And the strength to tear down a fort.

Well, I went where they told me to go
And breathed fire on all the right spots
Finally, rocks began to roll
Outward--that's what they sought!
A way out of this miserable cave
That they couldn't use without force.
They all cheered--all them I had saved
From dying of boredom, of course...

I made it back to the light of day
And all the people standing
Asked me about the noise that was made
And I ignored their demanding.

I am overwhelmed...to be in the presence of a truly great poet like yourself.  Yet, such dragons like yourself should never be doubted!  --Jamie
