Oh sure, you blame the IRS,
For all your tax-time blues.
You never mention all the help,
That they have given you.

Didn't they help you finance,
A congressional junket to gay Paree?
And didn't they let you support,
The Army's spending spree?

Haven't they helped lighten your load,
When figuring your monthly expenses?
Too much money can make it hard to find,
Where your discrepancy of 2 cents is.

And didn't they put Al Capone in jail,
When his tax audit time came due?
They built a special place for him,
And they've reserved a room for you.

So quit your whining about the IRS.
They're the G-men who love helping you.
Just open up your bank accounts,
And they'll tell you what is due.

Good one!

The next time the tax man
is pounding on my door
I will remember
why it is I'm poor
I'd hate to be a Trump
or Turner, Ted's his name
I'd hate to have wealth
glory and all that fame
I'd hate to have to find
a way to spend my money
yachts and cars and new clothes,
private concerts by ole Yanni.
So here I sit a poet humble
poor but happy, end of grumble!

It would be horrible to have all that money just laying around collecting dust..    But I still think I'd like an extra dollar or two.. Good job..

MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU,
MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK
MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE
THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS
AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN,
MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND
