There was a love
It flew away
On broken wings
The other day
It started slow
It ended fast
There was no middle
It couldn't last
She flew so swiftly
As quick as a wink
And took it all
Except the sink
I still wonder
My heart won't beat
Even took my horse
To save her feet.

I'm sorry, JLD. Please don't let it end this way. Let me stay with you.

Don't know why, but I especialy liked the last line... Took my horse to save her feet.
Hope everything works out for you, btw.

sigh...beautiful poem...and even though I'm only 14, I've been through it twice.

Great work, truly great work.

Very moving... I thought this was excellent.. I'm glad your pleas were heard.

MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU,
MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK
MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE
THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS
AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN,
MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND
