You search for eggs hidden among the plants.
You spot one.
You race forward to claim your prize.
You snatch it, smiling ear to ear.
You gently place it among the rest in your basket.
You look down trying to quickly count how many eggs there are.
You say around twelve.
The buzzer sounds.
You rush back to the main picnic table handing your basket to the judge.
She counts them then gives them back to you smiling sweetly and saying, there are fifteen sweet heart.
You hate when people call you that so you stomp off to your seat and await for the results.
Some girl with a frilly dress got the place you had three years ago, third place.
A young man got second place, you had it four years ago.
A boy with plaid overalls got the runner up spot, you had that last year.
Then the judge that called you sweet heart got up on stage and said, the winner of the anual Easter Egg Hunt is..., she waited biulding up the suspence. The winner is, she called your name.
You have finaly won the prize you have been trying so hard to get for years.
You walk onto the stage beaming. You parents looking so proud.
The judge hands you the prize and you also recieve a blue ribbon.
When you get back home you call all you friends and tell them the news.
After your parents kiss you good night you say to yourself, this was the BEST Easter ever.

I think that you should change ..."You look down trying to quickly count how many eggs there are."... to "You look down trying to quickly count how many eggs ARE THERE." ....... just maybe i dunno it just sounded better

- over all ... *thumbs up*

It was a fun story to read. It would be nice for kids to read around Easter.

wow, jess, i always thought that you were a good writer but i would have never thought yoou had an imagination that big!
