What I want for Christmas is
not on sale at Toys-R-Us.
It's not wrapped in paper, boxed,
or hanging from a ribbon, silk
and though I honor solstices
today I greet you all with kiss--
a compromise of preferences
for what is holier than this?

Peace on Earth--serenity!

Comfort those who are bereaved,
and hold the hand of those who need.
Light your candles. Say your prayers.
Plant love where there is despair.
Remember those you miss, but smile,
and know that they live on inside
of us for all eternity
and what is mightier than this?

Peace on Earth--serenity!

Celebrate your memories
but know today is but a seed.
Tomorrow's possibility
is within your grasp and greed
needs to be released for we
must drop it like it's hot to be
turned into that which we need:
