The Colors I Breathe

Christmas is silver in sparkling gleams
I breathe in the color of long ago beams
A silvery star has a place in my eyes
That shows me the bed where a sweet child lies

Christmas is gold wrapped in shimmering bows
I breathe in the color of gifts then bestowed
The richest of presents by the baby were piled.
Thought worthy a gesturet for so humble a child

Christmas is red of a cardinals wing
I breathe in the songs that the cardinals sing
A carol of praise for the innocent boy
The red decorations of glory and joy

At Christmas I breathe in the green that I see
And fresh piney scent of an evergreen tree
With a white star that glows, looking down from above
But mostly I breathe in the color of Love

I normally avoid anything dealing with Christmas until after Thanksgiving - but this is truly beautiful and I can't wait to bring it to the top.
