Mick Jagger is on the radio telling me he’s pleased to meet me (oo, oo). I, naive, believe him. I’ve finished vacuuming away needles fallen from a flame retardant fir. I suspend blue stars in its scentless nest, fanning Made in China hands. A lot of Ds are wobbly – the tree is a sick joke. A sick joke born of sweetness; like most, I guess. “What’s my name?” What a dumb question. (oo, oo) |
