Santa's Knee

Sitting there on throne of chair
Disguised from childhood dreams
Awaiting children and their family
To come sit atop padded knees

With pants of velvet crimson red
Gentle hands gloved in white sateen
Buckled up he tugs at bit at hip
As snowflaked whiskers brightly sheen
This is where all children flee
At Christmastime in shopping malls
To sit atop his welcoming knee
And hear whispers quietly hushed

With a giggle and a bounce he gives us a hug
Ho Ho Ho Santa chants his message aloud
Now I must return to the North Pole you know
But remember these words I say before I go
The best of gift at Christmastime
Is found within your very heart
Love each other every day
And make peace with all mankind.

        Coco

Coco my three sons are grown up now but we took lots of pictures on Santa's knee...and I'll bet they thought they were going to get exactly what they ask Santa for...and sometimes they did...I have a friend named Coco...love that name...James
