When Cupid lost his wing Cupid flits about, alone Floating from cloud to cloud. He is a harbinger of love, Freeing hearts from their shroud. Always willing to give others The chance at finding love He prefers to fly alone, Sticking to the skies above. Then one day it happened, He came crashing down. A wing had fallen off And brought him to the ground. On the earthly plane he met A soul he instantly knew. Without a shadow of a doubt, He’d found a love so true. When he fell in love He never said a thing. But we all know it happened When cupid lost his wing. |
