It’s Christmas Eve, about time to go
The sleigh’s almost packed, it’s starting to snow.
The elves hurry up, last minute chores to do
Making sure that Santa gets to me and you.

Mrs. Claus has packed a nice warm snack
And put a blanket in Santa’s pack.
Excitement fills the wintry night
As everyone readies for Santa’s big flight.

After Santa leaves, all the elves give a cheer
And hurry to the workshop to start on next year.
Mrs. Santa bakes bread for the morning toast
And spends hours preparing the Christmas roast.

The pounding of hammers, the sound of saws
Is beautiful music to Mrs. Claus.
Christmas Eve is filled with joyous sounds.
In this happy place where love abounds

Oh? It's for poetry about the Holidays? I was gonna post something like:

Give me an "H"......H
Give me an "O"......O
Give me an "L"......L
Give me an "I"......I
Give me a "D"......D
Give me an "A"......A
Give me a "Y"......Y

What's that spell?.....(Then I could see Balladeer going "hunh?"....as he grabs his "Nan's Dictionary for Poets and Rocket Scientists")

Dear PdV,
I liked this one! I could see the elves, and I know Santa appreciated the snack. I can see him holding the reins with one hand while he sips the hot chocolate out of a big mug in the other one.
