A Gardener's Prayer

If you see me in my garden
Digging the beds for my sweet peas,
Perhaps you think my mind's empty,
Concerned only with aching knees.

If truth be told I'm composing
A poem in honor of my Lord
Who two thousand years ago,
Came to this earth to bring the word

Of God's own encompassing love,
Sent with His Son on Christmas Eve.
A tiny Babe to bring the news
Of our reward, if we believe.

It's easy for a gardener
To pray, she's often on her knees,
Planting her seeds of thankfulness,
Singing His praise, her Lord to please.

(smiles) Yes, yes, it is so much more than just the fruits and vegetables in gardening but also knowing that faith grows in every heartbeat and His love will always rise and ours will as well every time we ask for His consolence! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, you are a true gardener of grace, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Joyce, from one gardener to another, this is just perfect. I have always maintained that there's no better place to be than in a garden worshiping our Lord.

This is definitely a keeper.

I am an avid gardner too, Joyce, and this poem is so full of faith and written with the hand that has a green thumb!! I write some of my best poems in the garden, because there I feel His presence so fully!!Love, Ellie

Dear Joyce,
You have surely been a fruitful blessing and encouragement in my life--Now I understand a little better why!
God Bless You, and thank you so much for
your supporting me in my attempts to sow the good seed as well!
