Wedding Vows
I’ve Learned the lessons of my youth,
And those within my prime.
I’ve walked through years of loneliness,
My trusting heart, my crime.

My soul grew weary with the search,
As years passed quickly by.
I never thought I’d find the one,
Who’d love me ( need line)

Yet here I stand beside my love,
Our vows about to say.
I thank my precious Savior, Lord,
For sending you my way.

I promise that I’ll love your soul,
Through easy, happy times.
And when the road get rougher yet,
I’ll gladly call you mine.

I promise here to speak my mind,
When something isn’t right.
I promise now to listen well,
And try with all my might.

I vow to you, to give you space,
And help you respect mine.
I vow to share the heavy work,
To give us both some time.

And at the end of everyday,
We will not sleep still cross.
For anger eats away at love,
And I can’t bear that loss.

Today in front of all our friends,
Our God and Family.
I give my heart to you, my love,
For all eternity.

Congratulations! I hope you have many happy years.

Let see.  Change the sentence to "On whom I could rely."  or    "Who'd give true love a try."

Marilyn,

To fill the missing line...

"Who'd love me till I die"

I don't want this to be my poem, because this poem will be much more special if it is written by you....  so here are some very simple suggestions.

I’ve Learned the lessons of my youth,
And those within my prime.  (instead of and I would say also)
I’ve walked through years of loneliness,
                   My trusting heart, my crime.

My soul grew weary with the search,
                   As years passed quickly by.
I never thought I’d find the one,
Who’d love me ( need line)  (Who'd love me till I die)

Yet here I stand beside my love,  (instead of my I would say you) (Love instead of love)
                   Our vows about to say.
I thank my precious Savior, Lord,
                   For sending you my way.

I promise that I’ll love your soul,
                   Through easy, happy times.
And when the road get rougher yet,  (gets)
                   I’ll gladly call you mine.

I promise here to speak my mind,
                   When something isn’t right.
I promise now to listen well,
And try with all my might.

I vow to you, to give you space,
And help you respect mine.  (help you have respect for mine)
I vow to share the heavy work,
To give us both some time.

And at the end of everyday, (every day)
We will not sleep still cross.
For anger eats away at love,
And I can’t bear that loss.

Today in front of all our friends,
                   Our God and Family.
I give my heart to you, my love,  (my Love)
                   For all eternity.

Hope this helps.  God bless.

-Bob
