**ONE COMMENTFIRST THIS IS NO WAY INTENDED TO DEMEANOR ANY OTHER RELIGION IN ANY WAY: PLEASE DONT THINK THAT. THIS IS JUST WHAT IS GOING ON IN MY SPIRITUAL JOURNEE.

Darkness has engulfed my heart, yet the beaming lights shine threw from time to time.
A woman, an angel in some way, whispers to me of how great being in the lord is.
I confess that I am but a lost sheep, once grazing the pastures of the light.
I have been to the Jordan River; the blood of Christ has cleansed me.
I look at her intently and gently ask her, “ have you bathed in the Holy Spirit?”
She turns a strawberry pink in the rounds of her cheeks, and replies
“ Yes, I have when I was just a babe I was sprinkled with the water of the saint.”
I question this “ A babe? Doesn’t the bible say you should be submerged in holy water?”
She looked at me with concerned eyes; She looked at me and said
“This is what I have grown up on if I change my beliefs now, my family will shurly disown me.”
I look at her in disbelief but before I get in another word she tells me in strong voice,
“ My beliefs may be different but I have accepted the holy spirit the way I have, I am saved.”
Tears well up in my eyes, she looks at me and slowly fades away. I pray to my savior, a task so long forgotten and ignored, I pray that I will some how help her see the light threw him. I tell my self she will be with me at the golden gates that never open outward, I will have her with me for eternity.

This is cool. Usually I don't like very long line, however, this one it didn't bother me at all.

Didn't the bible said, when one baptize with the holy spirit, she/he would speak in tongue? I don't feel I've the tongue, though I've ask holy spirit to be with me. I don't feel the closest in praying, yet I know He is the Lord. Kinda confusing. I don't know whether I'm saved or not.

Yes we all have our ways of joining our lives with God.  I too was baptised by being immersed in water but am now in a congregation whose members bring their babies to be offered to God by a sprinkle of water as they are baptised.  This is a beautiful gesture.  Later they are confirmed after they have studied and know their hearts.  I firmly believe that God is an all encompassing God and will accept us by any ritual if we give our hearts to him.  Love and welome to you.  Joyce

Dear Eliza.  I just wanted to put my word in here.  I know God has saved you. He could not resist your sweet endearing words.  Love, Joyce
