A child cries
and needs to know
there’s a hand to hold
when she’s cold
a tender touch
when she falls
a voice to hear
when she calls

So lord I pray
you’ll open the floodgates
of heaven
And let your love rain
on the lost and the lonely
so the child will cry
no more

A small tear rolled down my cheek as I read this. ~heart sigh~ Aren't we all like little children hoping for just that from our heavenly father when life beats us down? Wonderfully done BR! Beautiful~~~ Thank you!

So softly and gently penned Deb.
And how very true...
lovely thoughts expressed here.

Deb,

A heartfelt poem and prayer that truly
touches the child that lives and cries
within us all.

that was touching

Do I dare to look at whats really there,
Will I be burned?
I cant see past all the pain and torture that goes on in the places we call,
home.

This is a very beautiful poem BloomingRose.  I am sure our good Lord will not forsake any lonely children for He once said..."Let the children come to me"

All of us need the security of love, no matter our age.
The greatest love of all is from our father above.
Thank you all for reading and responding.
Hugs,
Deb

Awww, and to think I nearly got through the poems tonight without tears!

What a wonderful job you have done here in pointing out how very much children need to be loved, cared for and adored.  This is just so delicate and touching.

Hugs, Marti

(big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I know this kind of compassion ever so well, and when I grow up I dream of helping children with special needs and making them feel as happy as can be! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, you are a true angel, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Debra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I sincerely hope the child that inspired this tender poem finds God's love. I'm sure He will send someone to comfort her.

Thanks,
Melton
