it takes someone special to be a FATHER!

Some of us have Earthly fathers we wish we didn't have.  Some of us haven't known a dad at all. Some of us have wonderful Dad's we love very much.
BUT...

We all have a Heavenly Father! He's the ultimate Father to billions.

A Father who NEVER lets us down~
NEVER leaves us~
Never forsakes us~
Who does all things for our good~
He's always there when we need Him, never too busy~
Always approachable, sensitive to our feelings~
Will always meet our needs~
Will always be there to listen, then lead us in the right direction~

He's created a world full of beauty just for us~
He's a Creator, a designer, and He's given us unique beauty~
Painted rainbows as everlasting promises~
Calming ocean waves that never leave their banks~
Sunrises and Sunsets each painted with breath-taking beauty~
Each star hung with such care and purpose~

Each day brings newness~ new beginnings~ freshness~
Every passing moment brings change or the chance too~

I can't think of a more awesome Father I'd rather have. He NEVER lets me down. It is us who let ourselves down, but our Father is always there for us.

He's has given up His life willingly, that we might have life more abundantly. Thank you Lord, for the abundant blessings I don't always see, the ones I don't always remember to thank YOU for, and the ones I don't acknowledge.

But let me remember you upon this day when we pay great respect to our Fathers. I know no one who deserves more. Thank you Lord for being the most awesome Father I know!

Happy Father's Day Lord, thanks for all you are, all you've done and all you will ever be to me.

Happy Father's Day to all our Dad's out there.
May you realize the blessing you are to those children on loan from above. May God bless you in all your endeavors.

Miss y'all!

Thanks much Joyce! I wouldn't consider this poetry, more along my thoughts today. LOL
But thanks so much. Thoughts of writing
are passing through my mind again, so one never knows. Maybe the Good Lord will bless me with more poetry again someday.

I haven't written a poem in I don't know  how long.

God bless.

This is very touching and a great reminder that we all have a magnificent, perfect, all knowing, loving Father in heaven regardless of our earthly situation.  He is all things to meet each need, Father to the fatherless, and husband to the widow, comfort to the sorrowful, etc.  It's nice to see a tribute to the Father of all in addition to those for all our human fathers on this day.  Thank you.  Mom

Rebecca,

So nice to read your work again.  And what a more appropriate time could there be than this day to give honor by your words than on Daddy's Day?  WOW.  You really bring the whole picture into perspective by your acknowledgment that GOD is the ultimate Daddy of us all.  He truly is the one who brings us all together here and like any member of the family of GOD might say in retrospect...  It's really GREAT to hear  from you once again Sis and GOD bless you and our prayers as you well know have been with you.  Love in Christ.  -Bob

Rebecca:  What a thoughtful poem!  So many of us were busy thinking about dads and granddads and sons, I wonder how many thought about Him, the Father of all.

Just wanted to leave a big thank you
to you all for your read and comments.

There's a work in progress going on in my life, and I'm glad I could share a small part of that here with you.  Though by no means was it poetry, as much as I'd like it to be, but maybe the Lord will bless me with that again when it's time.  I do miss writing!

Love and Hugs to y'all!
