This morning I finally opened my eyes,
To all that there is in this life,
So much more than the stresses and trials,
So very much more than the strife;
I stepped outside to the garden,
Took a breath of the sweet scented air,
Looked over to see my roses~~
That's, when I saw You there;
You gently touched a pure white bud,
And I saw the petals quake,
Unfurling was a masterpiece,
As it slowly came awake;
I watched You sit in the violets,
As You held a delicate jay,
The softest smile lit Your face
When You saw the squirrels at play;
Then You turned and beckoned me,
With a billowing, white robed arm,
And with a touch like velvet,
You blessed me with Your charm;
I knew You'd seen my struggles,
By the tenderness etched on Your face,
And as we sat in the radiant calm,
You blessed me with Your grace.

This is so true..even when there is so much strife.. we can always choose to walk outside in the garden for awhile..and get away from the thoughts and things that burden us. Good write..

BSC:  This is so beautiful and I enjoyed reading it.  Tome, being outdoors and enjoying nature is being closer to God.

Bonnie it's good to see you amongst the writing again! But better to be able to be brought back amongst that serene place only you can beckon us. Thank you for the windows of beauty and serenity you allow me to see through.

Hugs.
