the Finding

The wonder of God
is very easily found
with butterfly on finger.
A bit more difficult
is finding that wonder
changing a flat tire.

The joy of God
is very easily found
holding babe in arms.
A bit more challenging
is finding that joy
laying in hospital bed.

The love of God
is very easily found
embraced by loved one.
A bit more desperate
is finding that love
if the loved one is lost.

The peace of God
is very easily found
as life is rewarding.
A bit more relevant
is finding that peace
when life is the enemy.

When with life is war
the world seems utterly dark
dear friends have betrayed...
The finding of our Fathers
joy, love and His peace
is a wonderful wonder.

Thanks for the reminder. You pose quite a humbling challenge.

Good read,

Very wise and true Tramp, but the wonder of God is there even in the worst of times and that is when we must look the hardest.  "He never promised us a rose garden."  Somebody else said that but it is true.  Joyce

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Daniel, this is wonderful, sweet friend, yes, for everything there is a contradiction but on both ends there is a beginning and He will guide us through both light and darkness, as He will always be on the brim of our hearts like a butterfly resting on a rose! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is wonderful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Daniel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

very true - and true in the mundane, which is often the most important way.
too often, we only pray when we want something, or when things are really good - it's the times when things are just ok that we need to pray as well.
changing a tire isn't warfare (although sometimes it can feel like it) but it can sure throw off your stride for a while, and in all your examples you are exactly right - it's sometimes hard to see that god is with us there, too.
great write.

Daniel~

'The wonder of God
is very easily found
with butterfly on finger.'

When the day is a little rocky ...
I go 'to the meadow' and extend my finger
in hopes of a butterfly landing~
